Programme Manager, Sustainable Energy

Latoya Smith is an accomplished program management professional with over a decade of experience in the field. She currently serves as the Programme Manager for Sustainable Energy at RESEMBID and has a diverse background in technical cooperation initiatives at the country and regional levels.

Additionally, she is proficient in monitoring and evaluation, as well as analytics for return on investment. Latoya has proven experience across a range of sectors including international development, information and communications technology (ICT), microfinance, and the public sector.

As a fervent advocate for capacity development and resilience building in the Caribbean, Latoya has made significant contributions to the region. In her recent engagement with the MEXICO-FAO-CARICOM Resilient Caribbean Initiative, she assumed leadership roles in project management and monitoring and evaluation. Her efforts aided in enhancing the resilience and adaptation to climate change of agriculture, food systems, and rural communities in 14 CARICOM countries.

Latoya holds certifications from the Project Management Institute as an Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) and a Project Management Professional (PMP). She also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School Graduate School of Business of Heriot-Watt University.
