The Strategic Steering Committee (SSC) serves as the main governance body, in charge of giving strategic direction to RESEMBID. The main tasks of the SSC will be to:
- Oversee and validate the overall direction and policy of the Programme.
- Steer and generally coordinate all programme implementation efforts.
- Assess and approve annual work plans and quarterly reports.
- Arbitrate when necessary and take decisions on any alterations to the Programme.
The SSC consists of the Regional Authorising Officer (RAO), and official representatives (Focal Points) from Anguilla, Aruba, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curaçao, Montserrat, Saba, Saint Barthélemy, St. Eustatius, Sint Maarten, and Turks and Caicos Islands. Expertise France and the European Union also serve as ex-officio, non-voting members of the SSC.
