2023-08-10T11:38:43-07:00

Today we congratulate Anguilla in launching one of their projects under RESEMBID’s Marine Resilience portfolio, “Piloting Backyard Recirculating Aquaponics Systems in Anguilla”. This project addresses the need for Anguilla to transform the fisheries and agriculture sectors; reduce dependence on imports; strengthen food safety and security and support healthier, well-balanced diets. Beneficiaries of the project will be able to produce high quality fish and fresh produce to feed themselves, or create a new revenue stream. Congratulations, Anguilla!

Marine Biodiversity is our heritage, we have to protect it!

2023-08-10T11:48:15-07:00

Without adequate protection, conservation, restoration, and sustainable management of marine ecosystems, these services will no longer be able to withstand the increasing pressures from climate change and growing demands on marine resources from increasing populations and tourists visiting the islands. RESEMBID is taking a holistic, people and environment-centred approach to its marine biodiversity programming, by: • putting the OCTs’ diverse Marine Biodiversity stakeholders at the centre of all activities and initiatives, • using applied science to help provide evidence for improved policies, planning [...]
