Andrea Floudiotis

Programme Manager, Marine Biodiversity

Andrea Floudiotis is a Sustainable Development practitioner with more than ten years’ experience working with the public and private sector – managing and implementing environmental conservation, circular economy, and sustainable development finance projects.

In his current role, he manages the RESEMBID Programme’s portfolio of Marine Biodiversity projects, and leads It’s sub-regional engagements with key stakeholders in Marine Biodiversity Conservation, Blue Economy, and Ocean Conservation among other relevant subject matters.

Professionally, he has worked within various international institutions such as the United Nations Environment (UNEP) in Paris, France; and the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (UNEP Collaborating Centre in Frankfurt, Germany).

In these roles, he led the development and successful award of a project funding proposal to the Global Environment Facility, and implemented the transition to a circular economy in more than 20 small and medium companies in six countries across Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

Andrea has a Masters Degree in Development Practise from Sciences PO Paris, specialising in Biodiversity, Global Health, and International Development Project Management. He is also a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance, from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
